Dog fouling

Being a responsible dog owner includes cleaning up after your dog. Any mess left by a dog can create an unpleasant eyesore in the local area and can be dangerous, leading to illness and in some cases blindness in children.

It is an offence if a dog owner doesn’t clean up after their dog immediately in public places and dispose of it responsibly. You can be issued a fixed penalty notice if you're caught not cleaning up your dog's mess.

Forgetting your dog poo bags isn't an excuse. To make it even easier for you, dog waste bags are available at the entrance to some of our parks and smaller green spaces, and they are available to buy at many shops.
